Good Luck Hayley

Our very own Surrey Star Hayley Carlson is off to the Under 23 Worlds in Japan on Thursday evening and I know I speak for everyone connected with iPlay in wishing her great success and enjoyment as she goes off to play in her first Australian team.

Curtain raiser to USA V Aussies on 5th July – Filling Fast

Our 20 positions are filling fast for this game. We have 14 players ready to   play in the USA v Aussies match. The game will be played under match conditions and will last about 30 minutes. With twenty players game time will be limited but it is not every day young players get to play in front of a crowd and under lights. Just email me to confirm please.

iPlay

No iPlay this Week as we have a break for the Long Weekend

Next week we begin a series of games between the schools. We will have four   teams Wattle Park, Laburnum, Mont Albert & a team made up of players from a number schools and they will be known as the Surrey All Stars. The fixture for next will be

Week 1.

Field 1            Wattle Park v Laburnum

Field 2            Mont Albert v Surrey All Stars

  • All games will 45 minutes long. Players should be ready to play at 6.00 pm. The games will be 8 a side, with inter change and there will be no goalie.
  • Prior to each game a short practice session will take place and all teams will begin by formally lining up against each other to start play
  • The fields will be reduced in size

It should be a great few weeks of intense rivalry and best of all great fun and great Lacrosse

The same rules apply, with the two pass rule becoming a permanent feature.

Under 12’s

The team is going to bounce back after last week’s sound defeat of the very talented Eltham side. Laura Tillotson is moving in to replace Hayley on “Worlds Duty”, thanks Laura great to see you back with the Under 12’s.

This week the side plays Williamstown at Greenwich Reserve. Please be at the ground at 9.00 am for a 9.30 am start.

Under 14’s

The side ran all over a young Camberwell side with the Surrey lads all chipping in for a goal and all showing improved skills and playing at time in new positions. The sight of Tim Graham in goals was a sight to behold when he made massive leads deep into the side attacking zone and only narrowly missing a goal on two or three occasions.

This week they play top side Malvern at the town Hall ground in Malvern. Bring a spare change of clothes guys as the glue pot in the middle is famous and living up to its name this season.

Under 15 Girls

The side just clicked last week and had a one sided win over Caulfield.

This week the girls are having a bye, enjoy the break girls.
