Newsletter No 13
Dear Players and Families,
Let’s make Number 13 a lucky one for everyone at Surrey this week.
Most importantly we want luck with the weather. I am still a bit waterlogged after last week’s rain and in particular last Friday night’s rain. I left all the spare tops we use for games out in the rain and consequently had to wash them as well as all the ones used by the players, making about 60 all up.

Round 2 of the School’s Competition is into its second week this week.
Game 1 Wattle Park v Surrey All Stars
Game 2 Mont Albert V Laburnum
Last Week Mont Albert completely dominated Wattle Park in front of goal in what was an even game in all other parts of the ground with Alex Gymer and Leo Bashay showing some great skills collecting ground balls. They have obviously been taking their cues off the master, Cruz McAuliffe’s technique.
Surrey All-stars had a very good game with Laburnum; the All-stars took the points in the close one
Have a great game this weekend and with a good forecast we should really enjoy being out and about before Essendon beats Hawthorn.
Under 12’s
Last week in trying conditions we had a bit of “lacrosse Lesson” given to us by Eltham. This week at home we should go close to defeating MCC. The game begins at 9.30 am so please be there at 9.00 am.
Under 14’s
This side is in urgent need of a win and I think our kids will do it this week end. We disappointingly lost to Footscray last week and can make up by doing the number on Caulfield. We need to be at their ground, Caulfield Park, at 9.00 am for a 9.30 am start
Under 15 Girls.
This week the girls take on top of the table Newport. I am sure that our team will acquit themselves really well and give them a great game.
Last week they lost to Eltham in what was a very good game. No ground announcement s yet so we wait. Jacinta will I am sure get onto to you about it shortly when word comes through
Cheers
