Dear Players & Families,
Well the Mother’s Day Round was a great success for all of us at Surrey Park last week end.
The Under 15 Girls Competition had a rest for Mother’s Day and this allowed all the girls to stay home and pamper Mum on this special day. I hope it was fun girls? For the rest of us, well we just all played brilliant lacrosse and gave our Mum’s a win on Saturday for our two teams and on Friday Night our iPlay provided sensational Lacrosse and terrific weather making it a very relaxing evening for all Mums.

Once again we had about 45 players turn out for some great Lacrosse. It was great to see more “sons of “playing and “grandsons of “playing also. Names like the Moores, Waites and Stewarts running out onto the Surrey Park field as the third generation of famous Surrey Park Lacrosse families, is a great way to celebrate the rich history we have here at Surrey Park.
Under 12’s
This rapidly improving team had a great win over one of our strongest rivals, Malvern. The score was 12 – 2. This side has players such as Alice, Dylan, Xavier, Flynn , Julian, Rene and Marissa now mellowing into wonderful second & third year players, along with the veteran Blake combining with talent on the block. We have the likes of Mitchell, Ewan and now Dom supporting them and thus we have results like these. Well done coaches and well done players.
This week the Under 12’s are back home at Surrey playing Eltham. Please be there at 9.00 am ready for a 9.30 am start. I suggest you look at bringing out the boots as it is going to be slippery.
Under14’s
Well after a successful joint training session at surrey last week much was hoped for in our game against Caulfield who we have always found difficult to tackle. No Tim this week and still no Sam, he has about 6 or 7 weeks before his elbow heals well enough to play. It was great to have both boys down at Moreland cheering on the team though.
